What it shows

Claude Pro / Max plan usage — current session (5-hour rolling window) %, weekly limit %, and the time until each one resets.
Today's Claude Code token usage — total tokens, request count, and an estimated USD cost for today's local Claude Code sessions.
A toggle button (⇄) switches between the two views; a language button (EN / 한) switches between English and Korean.

How it works

Today's tokens are read directly from the session logs Claude Code writes on your machine (~/.claude/projects/**/*.jsonl) and summed for the current day. Cost is estimated from publicly listed Claude model pricing.

Plan usage is only available through claude.ai's logged-in web app — there is no public API — so a companion Chrome extension reads it from a logged-in claude.ai tab and forwards only the result JSON to the widget over loopback (127.0.0.1). No cookies or session values are read or transmitted, and nothing is sent to any external server.

Why this one

It is deliberately small: a ~150 px translucent window with two views and nothing else — no layout modes, no notification daemon, no background polling. It focuses on today's local Claude Code token totals and cost (which account-level usage tools don't aggregate) and on plan usage without needing Claude Code (via the browser extension). A heavier alternative with weekly graphs, notifications and many languages is projectvelox/claude-usage-widget (unrelated project).

FAQ

Is it free?

Yes — open source, no payment, no account for the widget itself.

Which operating systems?

Windows. It is an Electron app; a portable .exe is on the Releases page, or you can run it from source with npm install && npm start.

Does it need my Claude password or API key?

No. Token usage is read from local Claude Code logs. Plan usage comes from your already-logged-in claude.ai browser tab through the bundled Chrome extension, which never touches cookies.

Does it send my data anywhere?

No. Everything stays on your machine; the only network traffic is the extension posting to http://127.0.0.1 locally.

Is it affiliated with Anthropic?

No. It is an independent community tool. "Claude" and "Anthropic" are trademarks of Anthropic. Cost figures are estimates and may differ from your actual billing.
